In ten minutes, you’ll see where the biggest gaps are in your operation. Every question comes from the diagnostic checklist our advisors use in live engagements, and your answers are scored against best practice rather than against other companies.
had inventory well above target. Cash tied up, service no better.
planned off open orders, or had a forecast that actual orders kept overwriting.
had lead times that were wrong, missing, or never set in the first place.
had nobody who owned inventory. Or sales did, by default.
From Waypost engagements with manufacturers and distributors in industrial, medical, food, and consumer products. None of it reflects a lack of effort. These gaps are common across the industry, and they’re fixable with focus.
Not how the procedure reads, and not how it’ll work once the ERP project wraps up. Pick what’s closest to a normal Tuesday. That’s the version we can help with.
Your results show how your operation measures up against best practice. You’ll get an overall maturity level — Foundational, Developing, Maturing, or Strategic — plus a rating for each of the fourteen areas, so the gaps are easy to spot.
You’ll see your maturity level and the question-by-question breakdown as soon as you hit the button. We’ll email you a copy too, with the full Field Benchmark attached so you have the source.
The basics are missing. Data isn’t trusted, processes depend on individuals, and work is reactive.
The basics work, but management is inconsistent. Policies, metrics, and ownership are partial or unevenly applied.
The function plans ahead. Processes are defined and measured, and systems support decisions.
The function drives business strategy. Decisions tie directly to customer, service, and financial goals.
The savings we’ve identified for clients have run from $250,000 to nearly $10 million. Where yours falls depends on the business and where the biggest gaps sit. Most of the operations we’ve assessed had never put a number on it. A 20-minute call is usually enough to tell whether it’s worth finding out.
Want to run it again for a different site, or hand it to your planning lead and compare notes?
Each answer maps to one of four maturity levels: Foundational, Developing, Maturing, or Strategic. “Strategic” is what we see in operations that run well. “Maturing” means the practice exists and is measured, but doesn’t yet drive every decision. “Developing” and “Foundational” are what we usually walk into on day one of a Supply Chain Assessment. Your answers average out to an overall level, shown on the scale with your results.
The Field Benchmark numbers at the top of the page are how many of the operations we assessed had each gap. Treat them as company, not a grade. If 82% of your peers are working around their ERP, you’re not behind. You’re in the majority, and the majority has money on the table.
